Take Time to Pray

The Difference
I got up early one morning
and rushed right into the day; I had so much to accomplish
that I didn't have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me,
and heavier came each task. "Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered.
He answered, "You didn't ask."
I wanted to see joy and beauty,
but the day toiled on, gray and bleak; I wondered why God didn't show me.
He said, "But you didn't seek."
I tried to come into God's presence;
I used all my keys at the lock, God gently and lovingly chided,
"My child, you didn't knock."
I woke up early this morning,
and paused before entereing the day; I had so much to accomplish
that I had to take time to pray.

I Timothy 2:1"I exhort therefore that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men."

I Peter 3:12 - "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers..."

James 5:16 -" ...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

I Thessalonians 5:17 - "Pray without ceasing."

Matthew 6:9-13 - "Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kindom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."
